About Tri County Lakeland Outpatient Clinic
Tri-County Lakeland Outpatient Clinic in Lakeland, Florida, provides outpatient counseling services for adults and minors ages four to 17. They are CARF accredited.
The facility encourages parents to participate in their underaged child’s counseling. Services are available in the office or virtually through telehealth.
Psychiatric services are also available. If your psychiatrist feels you need intensive substance use treatment, you will be placed in the intensive outpatient program (IOP). You will attend group discussion sessions and individual counseling nine hours per week.
Counseling and Group Sessions
Your struggle with substance use has likely caused stress in your family, so you may want to schedule family counseling sessions. Counseling will help family members understand addiction and how to be supportive of you.
Educational groups will teach you topics such as addiction and your brain, how to recognize what triggers you and how to control cravings. Your case manager can help you with community resources such as food or housing.
Medication Assisted Treatment for Addiction
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available using Suboxone and Vivitrol. During treatment you will have to abstain from using opiates, alcohol or any other drug. You will be required to attend counseling in conjunction with the medication. Specialized medication treatment is offered to postpartum women.
Assistance for the Homeless and Incarcerated
The PATH program uses funding to provide a case manager who can help you find a transitional shelter and food resource kitchens.
If you have been incarcerated due to substance use or co-occurring disorders, the clinic works with the Sheriff’s department to provide treatment for recovery. This will help you recognize behaviors in your life that are causing significant problems, which will aid in your recovery.
