About The PAC Program of the Bronx Outpatient
The PAC Program in Bronx, New York, includes their mission in their name. Their acronym comes from a Promise to provide the best and most comprehensive care, Achievement by clients of a life full of hope and joy, and offer Commitment by counselors to build a mutual trust and understanding relationship with clients.
The program is devoted to serving the underserved. Prospective clients have limited economic resources and may have Medicaid insurance coverage.
Outpatient Methadone Maintenance Treatment
An outpatient methadone service offers medication assisted treatment to ensure your sobriety and put you on the road to recovery. The program uses methadone maintenance treatment along with clinicians and counselors who’ll lead you individually and in peer groups from addiction to recovery. Outpatient services are offered according to part 822 outpatient services supervised by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
Substance Use Programs and Treatment
Intensive outpatient programs are the most intensive services offered by the program. The program lasts four to six weeks and is available in person or online via telehealth.
General outpatient programs provide recovery maintenance for those who’ve completed intensive treatment or were able to kick addiction on their own. These programs offer confidential individualized counseling support sessions and group sessions.
Many clients more successfully respond to treatment if our counseling is coupled with medication assisted treatment. The program commonly prescribes methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, and psychiatric medications for co-occurring disorders.
Outpatient Court Ordered Programs
If you’ve found yourself involved with the justice system due to substance use, the program offers DUI screening, assessment, and the DMV DUI outpatient program that can go up to six months. The program is also certified to provide the Domestic Abuse and Abusive Partners Intervention Program and the court-required Anger Management Program that runs 12 weeks.
