About SMA Outpatient – Ocala
Known as The Horse Capital of the World, Ocala, Florida, is home to SMA Outpatient Ocala. Established in 1997, this treatment center provides a full continuum of care and specialized services for adults battling substance use disorder and dual diagnosis.
They work with all major insurance plans. If you don’t have insurance, you can complete a financial assessment to understand the costs for services.
Residential rehab, outpatient care, crisis intervention, and shelter services are available. The facility also offers telehealth options, allowing you to receive support from anywhere within their service area.
Enrichment Program
The Enrichment Program provides day training and psychosocial rehabilitation for adults with developmental disabilities, mental illnesses, or co-occurring disorders. You can access services to support independent living, including job matching, job placement and on site training assistance.
Medication Assisted Treatment To Prevent Relapse
I think it's beneficial that they offer MAT. Their MAT program prescribes FDA approved medications, including naltrexone, buprenorphine, and Vivitrol.
These medications can alleviate cravings and withdrawal symptoms that can hinder recovery. They complement care with peer support, individual and group therapy, and case management.
Gender Separate Care
One of the things that stands out to me is that SMA offers gender separate care. Voluntary and court ordered adults can participate in targeted approaches that consider gender's influence on addiction.
Clients at the outpatient facility in need of more intensive services can be referred to the 36 bed men's residential facility or the 24 bed women’s one. Their women's facility also welcomes expectant mothers and women parenting young children. You'll benefit from a comfortable space to open up and learn from peers you resonate with.
