About Sunrise Canyon Hospital
Sunrise Canyon Hospital in Lubbock, Texas is a center providing inpatient psychiatric care for adults needing stabilization attention. Additionally, there are outpatient services for children, teens, and adults with mental health challenges and addiction concerns. For urgent situations, the hospital also offers 24/7 crisis help for both addiction and behavioral health emergencies.
Programs Created Especially to Support Those with Special Needs
One of the aspects of this center that I like the most are the unique programs they offer and the inclusive and sensitive environment they have created to welcome anyone in need of help. They have specialized programs to best support individuals with special needs, and programs for veterans.
There is also an outreach approach to support people who are homeless and other at-risk groups in West Texas. The multidisciplinary team is dedicated to making sure each individual is cared for with an individualized plan while feeling valued and respected, not judged.
Separate Inpatient and Outpatient Campuses
Upon arriving at the center, you will find a separate dedicated area of psychiatric care for inpatient treatment. For outpatient therapy, the center has more of a clinic feel in a campus like environment, rather than a hospital feel.
I really like that from the very beginning, the staff create a unique therapy plan for each patient and together you will discuss your recovery goals. They believe in a recovery focused philosophy to help you get reconnected with your community while maintaining your sobriety and wellness.
The center works with Medicaid, Medicare, and private health insurance plans. For those with financial concerns, the admissions staff will be happy to discuss with you possible payment and funding options as well as a sliding fee scale.
The center is conveniently located near downtown Lubbock with close proximity to McAlister Park. There are several parks and recreational areas near the center which provide patients and families opportunities to enjoy outdoor time during treatment.
