About Sundown M Ranch
Sundown M Ranch, located in Yakima, Washington, was founded in 1968 and since then has helped over 200,000 patients and families find footing and recover from substance use disorders. This is one of the most well-established and experienced programs in the Pacific Northwest. They have a beautiful campus that's nestled near the Yakima River Canyon, which provides a peaceful and natural environment that is ideal for stepping away from all your stress and focusing on recovery. Their levels of care include withdrawal management detox, inpatient treatment, a youth residential program, a family program and outpatient services.
Youth Treatment Program
Their youth program is for those between the ages of 13 and 17 and is unique because it helps adolescents who are struggling not only with substance use but behavioral challenges as well. They include therapy, schooling and recreational activities. Admissions to their programs are accepted seven days a week and have scheduled bed dates, which allows for quicker entry into treatment when it's needed.
Counseling and Peer Support
Their individual, group and family therapy incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention training, 12 Step integration, life skills development, psychoeducation and education about addiction and recovery. They also offer daily peer support in order to help foster accountability and a sense of community. Alumni support is available for those who have completed treatment and still want to grow in a network of people and have opportunities to stay engaged in the community.
