Step by Step Therapeutic Community supports individuals with mental health challenges to lead enriching lives. While they don’t provide a focused substance use disorder treatment program, they can offer residential and outpatient support for individuals in recovery, addressing many of the mental health conditions associated with substance use disorder.
Clinical Support Helps Develop Independent Living Skills
In addition to housing, they also offer clinical support to help individuals develop independent living skills, including vocational support, therapeutic groups and the MEALS program, which stands for meeting, eating and acquiring life skills. The program operates five nights a week to help individuals develop budgeting, planning, culinary and social skills.
Evidence Based Therapy Uses a Self Pay Model
Therapy options are offered to residential clients and within the community, providing psychotherapy to integrate with an existing treatment model. Master's level clinicians use evidence based therapies in therapy sessions that last for 45 minutes each. They use a self pay model to address thought disorders, bipolar, anxiety, depressive and social communication disorders.
