About Sovereign Health of El Paso
Sovereign Health of El Paso used to be located in El Paso, Texas. They are permanently closed. They provided behavioral health services to address and treat mental health issues and substance use disorder.
They were located close to many natural landmarks including Billy Rogers Arroyo, North Franklin Mountain and Franklin Mountains State Park.
Sovereign Health focused on treating each patient for their unique, personal health and wellness needs. They offered one-on-one counseling and therapy to promote cognitive restructuring to address past traumas and other situations that may have led them to their addiction.
Education on Prevention and Addiction
This center provided education on preventing and addressing addiction including the negative consequences that could result from substance use disorder. They also offered information on nutrition and healthier eating and living lifestyles to promote whole body healing. They offered therapy from staff who were bilingual and provided treatment in Spanish and English.
Detox Services with Outpatient Care
When you first arrived at Sovereign, they would address your acute care needs and determine whether or not detoxification services were needed to address your addiction. They may have provided medication to assist in addressing mental health issues you may be concurrently experiencing.
IOP Program for Co-Occurring Disorders
I like that they also offered an intensive outpatient program (IOP) as a step-down treatment option for those who were being discharged from inpatient care to address their addiction. This offers structured and supportive weekly therapy programs.
They provided medication management to ensure client stability during outpatient treatment and to ensure mental health needs were being addressed and treated. This option is ideal for those who were comfortable returning to their daily lives, routines and commitments but still needed treatment and continuing care to address their co-occurring disorder needs.
