About SMA Outpatient St. Augustine
SMA Outpatient is located on San Sebastian Way in Saint Augustine, Florida. They offer behavioral health services to treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorder. Located south of downtown St. Augustine, they are in a largely rural community with access to many natural landmarks including the Deep Creek Conservation Area, Matanzas State Forest, St. John’s River and the various beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.
Walk In Evaluations to Start Your Recovery
Services available to you at SMA are offered through outpatient care and include specialized programs for adolescent, adults and crisis care. I think it’s great that they offer walk-in evaluations to assess your conditions for mental health and substance use disorders, so you don’t have to wait for an appointment. They also offer pharmacy services providing easy access to medications that may be prescribed during your outpatient care.
Detoxification Services at Other Locations
SMA also offers acute care for detoxification at their other locations, if you require treatment to detox from drugs or alcohol while still requiring monitoring of your mental health conditions. They offer overnight care, with medication management to carefully assess your physical and mental health conditions while you undergo the detox process.
FACT Program Provides Psychiatric Care for Patients with SMI
I love that they are also participants in the Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) program which offers care for those with persistent and serious mental illness. They provide counseling services, psychiatric care and case managers to assist with 24-hour care and supervision. They will continue to assess your conditions for improvements and provide access to community support as you prepare for discharge.
