About Shift Counseling Services
Shift Counseling Services provides mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) counseling services. You'll find them based out in Grand Junction in Mesa County Colorado. Clients can pay for treatment using most major private health insurance plans. Medicaid is gladly accepted. They can provide a bill for clients to submit to their insurance company for out-of-network services.
The clinicians will provide services for clients already on medication assisted treatment (MAT), but they don’t prescribe medications. The facility offers classes and groups for DUI and other court ordered offenders.
Shifting Perspectives in Addiction Treatment
The clinicians encourage their clients to shift their perspective. In treating substance use and addiction, I noticed that the providers challenge individuals to see their behaviors and lives differently as they address an overall life imbalance. They offer customized treatment plans and multiple group therapy and class times to accommodate client schedules.

The office is in scenic Colorado, where there are many trails, parks, and other outdoor spaces like Desert Vista Park that I think are conducive to addiction and mental health recovery. Clients are allowed to vape and smoke without restriction during treatment.
