About Serenity House Counseling Services
Serenity House Counseling Services (SHCS) is a nonprofit organization in Addison, Illinois, that provides a full continuum of care to DuPage County residents. Their rehab programs for substance use disorders (SUD) include residential care, outpatient treatment, sober living homes or halfway houses and a specialized program for adolescents.

Their residential programs for men and women offer a safe, sober living environment in which residents are helped to develop new healthy habits and forge new relationships with others in recovery.
While here, you’ll partake in the house’s structured routine, attend support groups and other meetings and share your downtime with your fellow housemates. You’ll also receive between five and nine hours of clinical treatment every week, as well as opportunities to develop employment and budgeting skills.
Outpatient Services for SUD and DUI
Individuals needing extended care and support after their stay in a sober living home can continue to receive this through SHCS’s intensive or standard outpatient programs. They also offer evaluations and treatment plans to individuals who need such services as a part of a court order.
