Mother Child Residential Treatment in Richmond
Rubicon is one of only three residential facilities in Virginia that allows children to stay with their mothers during treatment. The on campus Children's Services Center cares for children under age 11 while mothers participate in therapy, ensuring families can maintain their bond throughout recovery. This unique model includes parenting education, developmental screenings for children and sober family activities.
Treatment is delivered using a team approach, with each woman assigned a behavioral health technician, certified peer recovery specialist and care coordinator. Sessions focus on building life skills, relapse prevention and addressing trauma and relationship issues in a safe, women only environment. The warm, inviting campus features communal spaces for fellowship, a gymnasium for recreational therapy and holistic programming including a kitchen garden.
Specialized Care for Pregnant and Postpartum Women
Rubicon offers priority admission for pregnant and postpartum women with specialized doula services and maternal health support. This focus addresses the critical need for treatment that supports both mother and child health outcomes during a vulnerable time.
The center accepts insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial plans, with sliding scale fees and financial assistance available.
