Robert Alexander Center for Recovery

A new building on 10 acres in Mount Washington, Kentucky is home to Robert Alexander Center for Recovery. The addiction treatment center serves people of all genders and gender identities.

The center also uses GeneSight testing, a genetic test that looks at how your body handles certain medications, as part of its mental health work.

Levels of Care on Campus

Medical detox, residential treatment and outpatient care all happen on the campus, so clients don't have to worry about switching to different building or parts of town.

One level they don't run is intensive outpatient care, a heavier schedule than standard outpatient without the overnight stay, and the center can help you find another program for that step.

They also offer medication assisted treatment along with counseling, and dual-diagnosis care treats addiction and a mental health condition together.

The program also includes classes on addiction, relapse prevention and getting back to work, and family therapy brings loved ones into the program.

The staff are in recovery themselves or have loved ones who are, and the center works with most major insurance plans at the Mount Washington campus.
