About River Region Human Services Jacksonville
Located in southern Jacksonville, Florida, the River Region Human Services Inc. (RRHS) was a nonprofit organization that provided primary, mental and behavioral healthcare services across the road from Jacksonville's Drew Park. Many of their services were funded in part by both state and federal grants, which allowed them to provide their services affordably to the Jacksonville community. Additionally, their public facing nature also allowed them to accept patients on Medicaid and Medicare insurance.
Complete Continuum of Treatment Options
RRHS offered both residential and outpatient treatment programs, as well as several specialized services for patients with more specific needs. Their residential treatment program gave residents round the clock supervision and care and was equipped to help patients face their addictions as well as co-occurring diagnoses that may have come up.
In both the residential and outpatient programs, adults and adolescents received individual and group therapy to help them identify, engage with and overcome addictive behaviors as well as any tangential behavioral issues that may have accompanied the addictions. RRHS’s services included specialized care for pregnant and postpartum women, a next step DUI program and medication assisted treatment when appropriate.
Because RRHS also offered a limited set of primary care services, they could also offer case management, medication management assistance and a host of different tests and screenings to help patients stay on top of their physical health as well.
Accessible Treatment Nearby
The RRHS facility on Parental Home Road closed in early 2024. However, those looking for outpatient treatment with many of the same elements will find an associated facility on Carmichael Avenue, also in Jacksonville.
