About Project COPE – Johnson Street
Project COPE is a six-month residential treatment program for women with substance use disorders, operated by Bridgewell in Lynn, Massachusetts. The program offers support tailored to women from diverse backgrounds and age groups. Through phased progression and wraparound supports, the program helps women build recovery skills and prepare for community reintegration.
Women-Only Residential Treatment
Project COPE specializes in gender-specific residential care for women working to overcome addiction. The six-month program uses a structured, phased approach that advances as participants meet milestones and develop the tools needed for long-term recovery.
Treatment includes individual and group counseling, parenting groups and access to vocational and educational planning. Sessions also address trauma and bereavement, with connections to medical, mental health and psychiatric services as needed. The program emphasizes practical life skills alongside clinical care to support stability after treatment.
Integrated Care for Pregnant and Postpartum Women
Project COPE offers specialized support for pregnant and postpartum women, including admission with newborns in a dedicated four-bed service. Coordinated care planning addresses both maternal recovery and infant wellness that helps mothers build parenting skills while engaging in treatment.
The program accepts referrals from drug courts, hospitals, clinical stabilization services, transitional programs, and self-referrals.
