About Patricks House Sober Living
Patrick’s House is actually an extension of Michael's House, a men’s only sober living home. This location is designed as a step down for those who have demonstrated progress in the 12 Steps during their stay at Michael’s House but want additional time and support before returning to full independence. This facility is located in Andover, Massachusetts, not far from Mount Vernon Park.
There’s no shame in taking extra time in a sober living program. Staff wants you to feel confident in your recovery before you exit the program. This is a 12 Step program.
Practice Makes Perfect
Those in Michael’s House focus on the last five steps of the 12 Step model. After transitioning to this location (which typically takes place after three months), residents continue this work by showing dedication to making amends to those they’ve wronged, taking inventory of and admitting to times when they were wrong, and working towards their goals. Doing so demonstrates their full commitment to maintaining sobriety.
Modern Living
Both this residence and Michael’s House feature modern, home-like amenities for you to enjoy. It’s a relaxed, familiar atmosphere, not like a hospital or clinic. You may find that the comfortable setting makes it easier for you to focus on your recovery and 12 Step work.
