About Community Medical Services
Ohio Addiction Recovery Center in Columbus, Ohio, is now Community Medical Services. This is a treatment facility that supports adults and pregnant women who are working through an opioid use disorder. They provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) along with individualized counseling and referrals to other community agencies if you need more specialized or supportive care.
Multiple Medication Assisted Treatment Programs
Working through an opioid dependency using medication support requires an individualized treatment regimen for your specific needs. Here at Community Medical Services, you'll have access to methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
You'll meet with a medical team for a thorough evaluation to determine what an appropriate regimen is for you. They have regular dosing hours every weekday from 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with limited dosing hours on Saturdays as well.
Peer Support Specialists
Peer support specialists play a big role in your recovery journey here at Community Medical Services. These peer specialists integrate into different aspects of your life, including support groups, community outreach, pregnancy support services, and through their partnerships with local medical and emergency teams.
Treatment for Justice Involved Individuals
If you've been involved in the legal system, have faced or are facing criminal charges because of your substance use disorder, Community Medical Services provides comprehensive care. Since 2010, they've had programming in place that works with incarcerated individuals in county and state jails. Over the years, this partnership has extended to select correctional facilities in Texas, North Dakota, Montana, Arizona, Alaska, and Wisconsin.
Along with medication assisted treatment, other services offered include peer support services, educational support, pregnancy care, counseling, and telehealth services. There's also coordinated care to other treatment facilities in your local community once you're released from jail.
