About Miami Dade New Direction Residential Treatment Program
The Miami Dade New Directions Residential Treatment Program helps clients overcome substance addiction. Along with the inpatient service, they also provide outpatient care for guests requiring less structure or who have completed residential treatment. Payment assistance for clients who are underinsured and private health insurance plans are accepted.
Structured Care For Healing
The residential program involves a secure, structured setting where guests can focus on recovery without distractions. The program lasts from thirty to ninety days depending on the severity of symptoms and individual needs. The intensive program includes group and individual counseling sessions, experiential therapy methods and holistic techniques to address all aspects of recovery.
They offer proven therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy to address thinking patterns that may not be conducive to recovery. Guests attend counseling sessions to learn healthy coping skills and recognize substance use triggers to avoid after treatment.
Transitional Housing Opportunities
Many people leaving treatment still need some of the same structure they had in residential care. New Direction includes halfway housing that offers secure, supportive settings where residents can work on their independence while seeking gainful employment and engaging in their communities. This service is an additional level of care to help ensure clients have the necessary tools and resources to maintain a sober lifestyle.
The facility is conveniently located near the Metrorail Transfer Station and Miami Amtrak Station. Both are short walks from the center, providing easy accessibility to treatment. The team offers treatment in Spanish and English, and they have services for the deaf and hearing impaired community to accommodate their diverse clientele.
