About MercyOne Dubuque Behavioral Health
MercyOne Dubuque Behavioral Health is a clinic that provides comprehensive mental health services to the greater northeastern Iowa community in Dubuque, Iowa. It is a part of the larger MercyOne Health Network which provides medical and mental health care throughout the state. This is the only full service psychiatric facility in Dubuque and offers inpatient and outpatient support for a wide array of mental health needs including substance use disorders (SUDs).
This location accepts most major insurance plans. However, it’s best to contact this facility directly to confirm the individual insurance providers that are accepted and to inquire about financial assistance.
A Supportive Network of Care
A key feature of this clinic is that it’s a partnership program that works in tandem with Medical Associates Clinic and Hillcrest Family Services. Along with board certified psychiatrists, there are also social workers and licensed counselors. This is important because it means that aftercare is another feature you can rely on to help you maintain your sobriety as you complete the SUD programs.
Partial Hospitalization Program
If you’re struggling with more serious addiction, then a traditional outpatient program may not provide the right amount of structure to help you achieve sobriety. Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are designed to create an immersive experience where your daytime hours are spent in a facility to give you constant access to clinicians and services. At MercyOne, the PHP takes a minimum of two weeks to complete, and people are expected to attend every day.
Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment
SUD rarely appears alone and is often related to other underlying conditions. Dual diagnosis is a solution that allows facilities to not just help you achieve sobriety, but to identify and treat any co-occurring conditions that might have triggered your addiction. This is important since unmanaged mental health problems can lead to relapse.
