About Kingsboro Addiction Treatment Center
Kingsboro Addiction Treatment Center in Brooklyn, New York, offers co-ed adult residential substance use treatment for residents of Kings and New York Counties. Clients are charged based on their ability to pay. They’re never turned away just because they can’t pay.
Available Services in Detox
The center has 10 detoxification beds, 50 male rehabilitation beds, and 10 female rehabilitation beds. Special tracks include the Criminal Justice Track and the Monolingual Spanish Track. They are CARF accredited, licensed by New York OASA, and accredited by JCAHO.
Staff includes physicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, medical nurses, psychologists, and social workers. Additional staff is composed of addiction counselors, licensed dieticians, and support staff.
We often see facilities that have specific clients they’re unwilling to accept. The center willingly treats individuals who may be rejected by other facilities such as pregnant women, medicated psychiatric patients, and those with multiple relapses.
To succeed in recovery, we must be in a sober environment conducive to recovery. Clients are accepted at the facility if they don’t have a sober living environment and community, have physical, mental, or co-occurring disorders that require medication management, or need 24 hour supervision due to the client’s lack of judgment, insights, and motivation.
Detoxification and Therapy Treatments
If you need assistance ridding your body of substances, Kingsboro can provide you with medically supervised withdrawal and stabilization treatment. You’ll be evaluated physically and psychologically.
The center treats co-occurring mental health disorders, substance use addictions, nicotine addictions, and gambling addictions. Therapy groups are gender specific and they offer Spanish speaking groups.
Additional services include self help resources, therapy groups for specific issues, social services, nutrition assessment, and family education. You can enjoy selected times of structured recreation with your peers. This can even include an excursion to Fred B. Abele McKownville Park to relax a bit.
