About Kids Escaping Drugs
Kids Escaping Drugs is a substance abuse resource center in West Seneca, New York. They offer hope and healing to adolescents and young adults battling addiction throughout Western New York.
One of the best things I noticed about this facility is that every service, early intervention program and educational course is absolutely free. You can get the support you need without finances getting in the way.
Uplifting West Seneca’s Youth
They provide a full spectrum of resources to combat addiction in the West Seneca community. A critical feature I noticed was their early intervention services for at risk students.
You and your child can participate in a one time, private session with their specialists. Youth can learn more about drugs, alcohol and substance use disorder. They’ll also learn strategies to make positive changes and prevent addiction. Your teen can also receive ongoing support to quit smoking or vaping.
Education Programs for a Brighter Future
Their Back2Basics program also caught my eye. This educational track teaches adolescents about emotions, communication, confidence and self advocacy. They promote resilience to help kids cope with life challenges.
They also offer a Peer2Peer educational video. Your teen can learn more about preventing substance use by watching the stories of young people in recovery. They strive to educate younger audiences about the real dangers of chemical dependency.
Harm Reduction Strategies for Empowerment
One thing I like about this facility is that it empowers the community. They provide resources and true actionable solutions to produce real changes.
For instance, you can access free Narcan and Fentanyl testing strips. These harm reduction materials are crucial in combating the rising opioid epidemic in Erie County.
