About Hospitality House
Hospitality House is a residential treatment program for adult men living with drug and alcohol addiction. The house itself is in Albany, New York. This program draws on several approaches to address the physical and mental needs of residents, including medication assisted treatment.
I like that the program has no set length for completion. The time you need in treatment is the time you spend, so you never have to feel pressured or rushed. Staff are on hand to assist with daily living needs as well, including providing transportation to and from support group meetings.
Covering Healthcare Needs
While you’re a guest of this program, you’ll have access to a variety of other healthcare programs, including primary care. But what I think is great is the fact that they’ll provide referrals to specialists as you need them, so no issue will go unaddressed during your time in addiction treatment. They’re doing everything they can to support your whole health during your stay.
Court Coordination
The program welcomes those who are justice involved but doesn’t treat them any differently from other guests. Everyone under their roof is treated with dignity and respect no matter what. However, those coming to the program from the legal system can get additional support coordinating their care with the courts and ensuring all obligations are being met.
Even if you don’t think you need the extra help, it’s always a plus to have it as an option. That’s especially true when it comes to something as important as staying on top of the requirements handed down by the court.
Live at the Hive
One thing unique has popped up in Albany as a result of its recovery community: Hive of Hope. This venue is dedicated to organizing and hosting fun sober events that bring people together. It’s about strengthening support in the community and giving you and your peers more ways to enjoy sobriety.
