About Hope House Women and Childrens Program
Hope House Women and Children's Program is a community based women’s residential program in Albany, New York. They provide addiction treatment for expectant mothers and women with children aged six or younger. You’ll benefit from a safe space to rebuild your life alongside your children.
Reentry Support
I think it's great that they prioritize reentry support. Along with addiction treatment, they connect you with local mental and physical health providers.
You can access vocational and educational assistance, as well as CPS and legal help for your unique situation. They also provide parenting skills training.
Postpartum Guidance
The facility places an emphasis on postpartum care. After giving birth, you can return to the program with your newborn.
They provide access to a nursery to help you acclimate to motherhood. You’ll benefit from a supportive environment that promotes bonding while honing in on recovery.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Their MAT services for alcohol, opioid, and nicotine addiction also caught my eye. This approach combines FDA approved medications, like Suboxone and Vivitrol, with counseling. You can address the physical and emotional aspects of quitting substances to promote lasting recovery.
A Comfortable Recovery Environment
With 24/7 ongoing support, you'll benefit from a recovery oriented atmosphere to focus on healing. Your children can enjoy an outdoor area with a playground as well as an indoor playroom.
You’ll also connect with other women who know what you’re going through and receive the encouragement needed to stay motivated in your recovery. The treatment center is not far from local amenities such as downtown Albany and Washington Park.
