About Hope House Mens Recovery Program
Hope House provides a men’s recovery program in Albany, New York. The intensive treatment includes 20 beds for males 18 and older who require the structure to focus on recovery without unnecessary distractions. The facility is conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from downtown Albany.
Establishing a Strong Foundation
Hope House understands that recovery may be overwhelming for some guests. They offer an intensive program where men can immerse themselves in treatment with others who understand their challenges and may have similar backgrounds. The goal is to establish a strong foundation that involves balance, positivity and structure.
Clients attend individual and group counseling sessions that may help them uncover the potential root causes of their substance use. They encourage family involvement to help mend relationships and assist loved ones in building a supportive network for continued sobriety. There is a recreation room where guests can engage with others, a basketball court and a large backyard for nature time or simply unwinding.
Medications To Manage Cravings and Withdrawal Symptoms
Withdrawal can be the hardest part of recovery for many people. Hope House includes medications to help alleviate harsh withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings for men struggling with opioid or alcohol dependence. They use FDA-approved medicines, such as Naltrexone, Campral, and buprenorphine, to make guests more comfortable during treatment.
Hope House is a short distance from Washington Park and the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, where you can enjoy relaxation, birdwatching or quiet meditation, which may promote healing. They work with private health insurance plans, Medicaid and offer a sliding fee scale based on income for guests without insurance coverage.
