Located in Springfield, Missouri, Higher Ground Recovery Center provides faith-based substance use treatment. The staff provides addiction education so you can understand how it affects different areas of your life. You’ll also be taught communication skills to prepare you for life after treatment.
Additional topics related to addiction that will be addressed are guilt and shame, thinking errors, anger management techniques, and co-occurring issues that frequently accompany substance use. In addition to addiction education, you’ll participate in Bible studies and Christ centered self help groups as a part of your treatment plan.

Higher Ground understands that guests may need assistance with ongoing recovery, and their team provides care coordination so you can focus on getting well. Guests have recovery coaching, spiritual counseling, recovery-oriented church services and connections to other services that help with continued sobriety.
Since Higher Ground is an access site for recovery support services for the Southwest region of Missouri, it provides a space where organizations and individuals can collaborate and help each other. This service works with community businesses to provide stable housing, employment, and removal of criminal activity.
