About Glory House
Glory House is a non-profit addiction treatment center based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They've been helping people since all the way back in 1968. They work with adults who are struggling with substance use disorders and mental health challenges that are co-occurring.
They offer both residential programs and outpatient treatment to suit your needs. They utilize many therapy styles such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and moral reconation therapy. They also weave in real life skills training to help you elevate your success once you leave.
Prioritized Populations
Something that stood out to me was that they prioritize helping people who use IV drugs, pregnant women, and people with dependent children. I can also appreciate that they can help you with important real world needs like job hunting, finding housing, and figuring out transportation when going to therapy or doctor appointments.
Outpatient and Aftercare for Lifelong Success
For outpatient treatment, they offer intensive outpatient care which is an eight week program that uses the Matrix Model. They also apply individual therapy, group therapy, and support groups.
To help support you further into your recovery, their aftercare is a six month program that can address thinking patterns. The also have a Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse program that lasts 20 weeks and can be a good alternative to traditional treatment.
They provide aftercare for dual diagnosis too and have a program called Healthy Relationships. This program is an educational group that focuses on teaching you how to rebuild and maintain healthy relationships. They also offer relapse prevention techniques and present it as 18 exercises that can teach you relapse patterns and warning signs.
