Frontier Behavioral Health’s Calispel site on Calispel Street in Spokane, Washington, is part of Frontier Behavioral Health Facilities that help to meet the needs of young adults, adults and seniors who are dealing with a wide range of mental health and substance use disorders within the community of Spokane.
Spokane is the largest city in Washington State and is located near the Idaho border. There are over 76 lakes and five ski resorts that help to blend urban amenities and outdoor recreation that supports your recovery.
Stand Alone Evaluation & Treatment Facility
This location is one of two stand alone facilities within Spokane that provide evaluation, assessment and crisis treatment services 24/7 regardless of your financial status. Treatment is provided when you're at risk for self-harm or are gravely disabled as a result of a psychotic condition. The length of stay varies depending on your needs, but it can typically range from 6 to 8 days.
During the stay, which can be voluntary or involuntary, clients undergo a medical and substance use disorder evaluation so you can receive follow-up treatment and referrals as needed. During your residence, you receive individual education to help understand your medications, psychotherapy, and medication management.
Discharge Planning Addresses Referrals
Discharge planning will include a referral and links to other appropriate resources, including substance use disorder treatment. Throughout the Spokane area, they’ve various programs that address the needs of seniors, adults, and offer evidence-based treatment when you have persistent mental illness.
While Calispel doesn’t provide a structured substance use disorder treatment program, staffers address the mental health conditions that are commonly associated with addiction and can work closely with other resources that provide these treatment options.
Medicaid is accepted alongside a sliding scale fee for qualified candidates.
