About Fairmount Behavioral Health System
Situated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fairmount Behavioral Health System offers treatment for individuals with mental health concerns and substance challenges. Their intensive outpatient program is available for adult patients as well as a partial hospitalization program. Additionally, the center has an inpatient psychiatric stabilization unit for both children and adults suffering from trauma and in need of care.
Medical Management and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
I like that the center welcomes people from all different backgrounds in need of help. To keep you comfortable during treatment, they have medication assisted treatment (MAT) options which lower your cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
The center will first give you an initial evaluation to see how to best help you, no matter where you are in your recovery journey. There is also a big focus put on after recovery strategies, to support you maintaining your sobriety.
24 Hour Care When You Need It
There is admissions staff available 24 hours a day for those in immediate crisis situations. Their multidisciplinary staff of psychiatrists, nurses, case workers, and counselors all collaborate together to be sure you are getting the best individualized care plan. I really like the emphasis they place on family, not only during treatment, but as a support team once you have reached your goals.
I think it’s reassuring that this center gets positive feedback from previous patients regarding the care that they received at the center. Many mentioned the strong counseling here as one of the reasons that they have been able to move forward in their lives while maintaining sobriety. The only challenge some patients commented on was that at certain times of the day, they did have to wait longer than they had hoped in the center before being seen.
Located in the Roxborough Area of Philadelphia
The center is located in the Roxborough neighborhood, offering patients proximity to several parks such as Wissahickon Valley Park for quiet time and reflection. The center works with private insurance carriers, Medicaid and Medicare. The admission staff is also happy to offer guidance in regards to possible financial options that may be available to certain patients.
