About Endeavor Health Services Cheektowaga
Endeavor in Cheektowaga, New York, is a private nonprofit treatment facility for adults, adolescents, and children. Substance use treatment is for those whose use has spiraled out of control and is negatively affecting their life. Medication assisted treatment is offered to clients ages 12 and older.
Intensive Outpatient Programs Teens
Intensive outpatient programs are for those who are using on a daily basis and need intensive care to recover. This program can help you avoid needing residential care through psychosocial rehabilitation treatment.
The center also offers treatment for mental health. Many of us turn to substances as a way to medicate ourselves while trying to deal with existing mental health disorders. Psychiatric services offer psychotropic medication, verbal therapies, and care coordination.
You’ll have a peer assigned to you for peer support. This peer has been through treatment and is in recovery. Trauma informed therapy helps clients manage their behaviors using natural resources and by teaching recovery skills.
Programs for Youths
Substance use treatment for adolescents uses an Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA) and Assertive After Care (ACC). The program focuses on skill building and client strength while involving the adolescent’s family in their treatment. This can include limited medication assisted treatment (MAT) for teens 12+.
The center offers mental health treatment for children. This treatment covers challenging life situations, emotional distress, behavioral disorders, substance use disorders, and acute mental illness. Counseling, medication management, and school services are available.
School based services are offered for children at risk for developing a mental health and/or substance use disorder. Endeavor works with school staff and families to provide support services.
Health home care management helps children and their families with housing, social services, and other community programs. The program will also refer the child for other health care services.
