About Drug Abuse Alternatives Center (DAAC)
Drug Abuse Alternatives Center of Santa Rosa, California, now known as Center Point DAAC, has delivered comprehensive substance abuse disorder services for over 50 years. Their scope encompasses a range of specialties including medication assisted treatment and co-occurring disorder care, as well as specialty care for pregnant and parenting women. They serve people of all ages.
Their programs are designed with continuing care in mind to minimize the gaps you experience in your care. For example, their men’s residential treatment program includes transitional housing for those who want it after the program ends.
They accept Medicare and Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal members receive services for free. Services are available in Spanish.
Reducing Recidivism
Those who are convicted of substance abuse related crimes, like DUI, risk falling into a cycle of reoffending. Whether someone is incarcerated or on parole, they need easy access to substance abuse and behavioral health treatment to reduce the risk of recidivism and become productive members of society.
Center Point DAAC’s outreach efforts extend to the legal system. They accept referrals from various sources including courts, parole offices and Child Protection Services. This treatment goes beyond addressing symptoms and problematic behaviors to promote healthy socialization skills as a tool for reducing addictive and criminal behaviors.
Adolescent Diversion
This facility offers a no cost eight week diversion course for teens experiencing early substance abuse. These remote group classes explore the impact of different substances on their physical and mental health. It also allows participants to discuss their experiences with drugs or alcohol in a safe space to get advice and help one another in a support group like setting.
Open Enrollment
Some outpatient services are available without an intake appointment. Interested clients can arrive at the clinic on Thursdays and enroll directly into available outpatient programs. This ensures immediate care for those with mild symptoms.
