About DISC Village Re entry Services
DISC Village Re Entry Services is a nonprofit program in Tallahassee, Florida helping individuals transition from incarceration back into the community with dignity and self sufficiency. The voluntary program offers vocational training, case management, counseling and employment placement for non violent offenders involved in the criminal justice system.
Since 2010, DISC Village has partnered with the Leon County Detention Facility to empower over three hundred men and women to rebuild their lives and reduce recidivism through skills based support.
Criminal Justice Support
DISC Village Re Entry Services focuses on helping justice involved adults successfully reintegrate into the community after incarceration. The program provides comprehensive assessments, individual and group counseling, and case management tailored to each participant's vocational and personal needs.
Treatment emphasizes personal responsibility and participants identifying their own role in recovery and change. Wraparound services anticipate needs prior to release, addressing barriers like employment gaps, housing instability and co-occurring substance use or mental health conditions to promote lasting independence.
The LIFT Program
The LIFT program delivers vocational and life skills training directly at the Leon County Jail for non violent offenders, increasing employability before release. Participants gain job readiness skills, employment placement support and ongoing monitoring to build a foundation for successful community reintegration and reduce the likelihood of re-offense.
