About The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic of Helio Health
The Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) at West Onondaga Street is a treatment center location of Helio Health. They’re located by Roesler Park in Syracuse in New York. They’re certified by the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports to treat clients with substance use and mental health disorders.
The clinic accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance coverages. Treatment discounts are based on family size and income. Clients are not turned away due to an inability to pay for services.
You can walk in for an intake Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Evening appointments are available for treatment and services.
Psychiatric and Medication Treatment
Medication assisted treatment and management is available using Suboxone or Vivitrol. You can receive a psychiatric assessment to determine if you need medication.
Outpatient Counseling and Therapy
Counseling and therapy are available to adults and youth. Specialized group sessions include early recovery, relapse prevention, managing recovery, integrating recovery, and release and reintegration.
Other groups include healthy alternatives, healthy living skills, healthy communication, skill building group, and rational emotive behavior therapy group. Other specialized groups are gender specific, men’s and women’s, and a DWI group for those who have been assessed.
The program coordinates substance use care and treatment with other providers, such as your primary care provider. If you need more intensive treatment, such as detox or residential care, the center can refer you to a local facility.
Substance Use Treatment for Youth
The Choices Seven Challenges Program is a substance use treatment program for youth ages 12 to 18. We want to be involved in all aspects of care for our children, and the program offers this with family counseling sessions.
Your youth will attend private individual counseling, group counseling with your youth’s peers, and will be educated about substance abuse. Journaling is a therapeutic aspect of the program.
