Central Coast Headway is located on West Carmen Lane in Santa Maria, California. They provide outpatient DUI/DWI education and counseling services for those convicted of a DUI/DWI offense. In addition, they offer regular outpatient behavioral health treatment for those diagnosed with co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorders.
Outpatient Therapy Services for SUD
I find it good to know that for those seeking treatment and therapy to address alcohol or drug addiction disorders, they offer one-on-one counseling and therapy services. They also provide motivational interviewing, relapse prevention education and regular cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy.
DUI/DWI Education and Counseling Services
They will work on your behalf to coordinate your participation in and completion of the court-mandated program and will ensure you are credited for completion. They offer several levels of programming including the Wet Reckless Program (WRP) for individuals aged 18-21.
The WRP program requires a 12-hour education program for DUI offenses. I like that they also offer a first offender program which requires completion of 30 hours of alcohol and drug education and counseling. However, if your blood alcohol content is significantly higher, they require completion of a 60-hour program.
In addition, they offer an 18-month program for second-time offenders that require 52 hours of counseling, 12 hours of education courses on drugs and alcohol and 6 hours of community monitoring and interviews.
Lastly, they offer a 30-month program for third-time or repeat DUI offenders. This program requires 120-300 hours of community service and interviews and 78 hours of counseling. It also requires 12 hours of drug and alcohol education classes.
