About Cease Addiction Now
Cease Addiction Now (CAN) Behavioral Health in Baytown, Texas, is a nonprofit licensed charity. It’s located by Town Square and Lee College. They provide outpatient treatment for behavioral health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders for adolescents and adults. They developed the Positive Psychology and Universal Ethics curriculum which has been adopted by other licensed mental health professionals.
CAN is accredited by The Joint Commission. Treatment approaches include crisis intervention therapy, psychoeducation therapy, solution focused therapy, substance use therapy using the 12 Steps, and narrative therapy.
Partial Hospitalization Programs
Some people are unable to commit to residential treatment because of responsibilities but need intensive therapy. Partial hospitalization programs require 20 hours of group therapy on site and one hour of individual therapy per week. Group sessions are on weekdays and run from 10:00 to 3:00.
Intensive Outpatient Programs
Intensive outpatient programs require 10 hours of group therapy and one hour of individual or family therapy per week. These groups meet Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays in the evening.
Battering Intervention and Prevention Programs
CAN is fully accredited by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice/Community Justice Assistance Division to provide battering intervention and prevention programs. The program is only available to men and requires a minimum of 18 weekly sessions.
Each session lasts for two hours, and weekend sessions are available. Groups are discussion based. You will learn how to change abusive physical, verbal, and emotional patterns. Through the program you can be a better parent, partner, and community member.
