About NCADD of the South BayTreatment & Family Preservation
NCADD (National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence) of the South Bay Treatment & Family Preservation is in Torrance, California. The clinic is part of Behavioral Health Services (BHS), a non profit organization that provides integrated health services to several communities in L.A. County.
At the Torrance location, they offer several outpatient services, including addiction treatment and a DUI medication assisted treatment (MAT) program. Adults and adolescents ages 12 to 18 can get help here for just about any substance use disorder (SUD), including issues with opioids and alcohol.
Addiction Treatment With a Focus on Relapse Prevention
Many clients who come here for treatment have already been through an inpatient treatment program. Others are facing addiction, but they don’t need an intensive outpatient program. More focus is placed on learning to use recovery tools to prevent relapse.
Clients are in treatment one to five days a week. Most stay in the program for three to nine months depending on individual situations and needs.
Torrance is a family friendly, culturally diverse community. It’s walkable and there’s even a bus stop within walking distance if you’re unable to drive.
Compassionate Support After a DUI
The DUI program meets the requirements of the state of California and is licensed by the Department of Health Care Services. Clients facing opioid and poly substance use disorders can get screenings and receive medication assisted treatment services. This treatment can help reduce your cravings and withdrawal symptoms and allow you to stay focused on your recovery.
Support for Teens and Their Families
Teens facing substance use and mental health issues often feel like they’re alone. There’s help here, and it’s customized for the unique needs of adolescents.
Treatment happens after school and on weekends, so there’s no disruption to school or family activities. The early intervention initiative reaches teens who may not meet the criteria for an SUD, but still have high risk behaviors. NCADD of the South Bay Treatment & Family Preservation has been part of the L.A. County community for 50 years.
