Aurora Charter Oak Behavioral Health Care in Covina, California, offers adult and adolescent inpatient and outpatient treatment for mental health and substance use. The campus offers adult inpatient detoxification for withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Detox is available for users of alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines and THC. Medication assisted treatment is available for post acute withdrawal symptoms.
Inpatient Substance Use Treatment
The adult inpatient program offers treatment for substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, bipolar disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia and anxiety. You will be stabilized as quickly as possible so you can complete treatment to help you through recovery.
Residential Treatment for Addictions
The Charter Oak Residential Treatment center offers private rooms. Detoxification is not provided and must be completed at the inpatient facility. You will participate in individual therapy, emotional process groups and relapse prevention education. Medical supervision is part of the program.
Amenities include private gym membership, return to work planning, and onsite 12 Step meetings. Medicaid and Medicare do not cover the residential program.
Outpatient Options for Flexible Treatments
Outpatient treatments include the adult partial hospitalization program. You will attend treatment groups Monday through Friday and return home in the evenings.
Adult general intensive outpatient programs meet three hours per day three days per week. You will have the option of morning meetings or evening meetings.
Chemical dependency intensive outpatient programs meet three days per week and provide group therapy where you will learn about your addictions, withdrawal management, relapse prevention and how to manage cravings and triggers. You must be sober to attend.
Therapies used during treatment include cognitive behavioral therapy, illness management and recovery therapy, seeking safety, dialectical behavior mindfulness and systemic inequality. Therapies are used under the trauma informed care framework.
