About Action Counseling
Action Counseling is an outpatient addiction treatment center in Kennewick, Washington, serving individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol addiction. Action Counseling accepts Washington Apple Health or Medicaid, Medicare, private health insurance, TRICARE and state financed insurance.
Self pay options include a sliding fee scale based on income though DUI evaluations require private payment. Spanish language services and accommodations for the Deaf and hard of hearing are available.
Treatment and Support Services
Action Counseling provides outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and partial hospitalization. Individual, group, and family counseling are part of treatment.
DUI evaluations, Alcohol Drug Information School, and court ordered assessments for criminal justice clients are available. Recovery support services include housing assistance, peer mentoring, employment counseling, and discharge planning.
The center serves adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors, including gender specific programs for men and women. Action Counseling also welcomes LGBTQ individuals, veterans, criminal justice clients, people with co-occurring mental health disorders, survivors of domestic violence, and clients living with HIV or AIDS.
Substance Use Treatment Approaches
Therapists use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and rational emotive behavioral therapy. The program also includes anger management, relapse prevention, substance abuse counseling, and 12-step facilitation with medication assisted treatment available for eligible clients.
