About Change Counseling is a nonprofit substance abuse and mental health treatment center in Elgin, Illinois. They offer intensive outpatient and general outpatient services. You’ll attend various therapy sessions like cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-related counseling to help you examine thought and behavior patterns that could relate to your addiction issues. 12 Step meetings are included with your program to provide fellowship with other people who understand addiction and to help you take accountability for your sobriety. They accept self-pay and private health insurance but offer sliding fee scales and payment assistance for those who cannot afford treatment.
