Like most outpatient treatment centers Treatment Centers LLC, Rowan Treatment Centers offers a wide variety of different therapies. These therapies are all designed with your needs in mind but are based off of standard treatment models. These standard therapy models are:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – cognitive behavioral therapy concentrates on associating mind with body. It helps you to understand that your thoughts have a direct influence on your behavior and your behavior can influence your thoughts. Your addiction is sometimes the result of negative thought patterns. For example: you get stressed, you crave drugs or alcohol, you drink and then the cycle repeats. This is a classic example of your mind influencing your body. If you can break this cycle you can end your addiction. Cognitive behavioral therapy offers a way to develop healthy coping mechanism to stop your unhealthy ones.
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy – Like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy focuses on the connection between thought and behavior. It seeks to change the patterns of your behavior to influence your thinking and your need for a substance. It is an excellent way to change the negative behaviors that created your addiction. It assumes that you are doing the best that you can but do not know how to do better. It seeks to break the patterns of positive and negative reinforcement that are already established and creating harmful situations.
  • Family Therapy – Rowan Treatment Center believes that addiction is a social disease. This means that it affects your family and your family affects your behavior. By treating the whole family, the counselors at Rowan Treatment Center can help change the family dynamic and improve your relationships with your family. It can also deal with the consequences of your addiction and the impact it has had on your family.
  • Methadone Maintenance Treatment – methadone is a proven treatment for both chronic pain and opiate addiction. Methadone maintenance treatment can prevent withdrawal and treat chronic pain at the same time. If the circumstances are right, you can remain on methadone for as long as you need to treat chronic pain.
  • Individual Therapy – individual therapy offers a wide range of therapy options. During individual therapy you will meet one on one with a counselor and they can help you deal with the behaviors that caused your addiction and deal with the consequences that were a result of your addiction.
  • Group Therapy – during group therapy you will meet with a counselor as well as other addicts. This can help the feelings of isolation and loneliness that you might experience during your treatment. As you change your life, it is important to develop new healthy relationships and group therapy can make this possible in a sober environment.

Each of these therapies is available and may be combined with other treatment if it is necessary. Rowan offers individualized treatment plans with strong case management. They can coordinate your services and make sure that you get the correct treatment program for your addiction needs.

The first time I went to rehab I felt like I was just a number, then I found Rowan Treatment Associates. Going there was so much different than the other treatment centers I tried. I have a busy life and I can’t take the time to go to an inpatient treatment center for detox. Rowan evaluated me and then recommended methadone maintenance, which stopped both the withdrawal and the pain that I am always in. Best of all the methadone coupled with counseling helped me to realize that I don’t need dangerous opiates to feel okay. Chronic pain is difficult to deal with especially when you are constantly on the move. Rowan showed me a better way than just over medicating with opiates.

I knew when my family started to threaten to leave that I could not continue using heroin like I was. I also knew that if I did stop, the withdrawal would be really bad. I’ve tried to quit a few times and when that withdrawal hits it can be horrible. I’ve relapsed several times even after treatment.

This is when I called Rowan Treatment Associates. The person who answered the phone seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and what I was afraid of. He outlined the partial hospitalization program for me. This is a medical inpatient detox and then continued outpatient counseling. This option works best for me because I only have a limited time off of work before I need to get back.

My family was telling me that I had a problem but it took calling Rowan to believe it. When I called the person I spoke to went over all of the symptoms that I was experiencing and she knew exactly what I was addicted to. She seemed to understand exactly what I was going through and how best to deal with it
