About WestCare Foundation Texas San Antonio
WestCare’s Foundation office is located on S WW White Road in San Antonio, Texas. The center provides behavioral health services to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorder through prevention programs, inpatient and outpatient residence care and co-occurring training programs.
They’re located next to several restaurants, businesses and retail stores with close access to I-10 and I-410 for easy transportation to and from the facility. It’s on the border of the Eastwood Village residential neighborhood and is accessible to several nearby natural landmarks including the San Antonio Zoo, Martin Luther King Park, and South Side Lions Park.
Women’s Recovery Residential Program - Casa de Esperanza
The staff provides rehabilitation services for young adults, adults and seniors, both men and women in a comfortable and supportive environment. They offer separate programs for treatment for men and women that specialize in gender-specific programming.
Their women’s recovery residential program, Casa de Esperanza, provides you with supportive housing if you are a young or expecting mother recovering from substance use disorders. Their program provides treatment and support through trauma-informed care, mother-infant dyad care and recovery services.
Substance Use and HIV Prevention Resources for Minorities
WestCare operates on several State and Federally-funded grants, providing access to various training, treatment and supportive programs. One such program is their substance use and HIV prevention program for minorities.
This program offers guidance and services to help you if you are a man who has sexual contact with other men and if you also may be at a higher risk of addiction with the potential of contracting HIV. Their clients may also be experiencing housing instability and may be exposed to other individuals with addiction and who’ve been diagnosed with HIV.
Sober Truth: Reducing Underaged Drinking Incidences
Sober Truth focuses on working with youth, young adults and teens aged 12-20, who may be at risk for underaged drinking and the negative consequences that may result from that behavior. The program also looks at ways to reduce the occurrence of underage drinking in youth and to avoid negative consequences including sexual assault and DUI/DWI-related incidences.
