About The Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center – Inpatient Treatment
The Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Center has offered inpatient and outpatient addiction and mental health treatment since 1971. They’re located in Butler, Pennsylvania. The inpatient treatment center provides comprehensive treatment for men and women with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health challenges. This includes medication assisted treatment (MAT) for detox and maintenance.
The organization accepts some private insurance and participates in most of the PA Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. I believe people will appreciate that the inpatient treatment center is easily accessible from major roadways and near a bus stop.
A Designated Center of Excellence
I noticed that the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services has designated the organization a Center of Excellence for inpatient treatment. They offer multiple complementary services to help clients re-enter their communities. Services include education programs, housing, food, and transportation assistance, as well as medical care and support groups.
Holistic Programs
The treatment team understands the unique needs of both men and women dealing with addictions and mental health issues. They offer gender specific programs to ensure clients of both genders have their needs met in a safe space, including yoga and the 12 Steps. Equine therapy via Glade Run Adventures is also offered.
