The Restoration Center offers residential detox and outpatient services in San Antonio, Texas. Administered by The Center for Health Care Services, they’ve served adults and youth experiencing behavioral health issues for over 50 years. You can access addiction and dual diagnosis treatment, as well as primary care.
Targeted Care for Women
What stands out most to me is their specialized intensive outpatient program (IOP) for women. They welcome expectant mothers and mothers of young children.
They also support women with Texas DFPS cases seeking to reunite with their children. The staff utilizes a gender specific, trauma informed approach to help you overcome addiction and gain the skills for lasting recovery.
Supporting Recovery with Medication Assisted Treatment
The Restoration Center also offers MAT for opioid use disorders. This approach combines FDA approved medications with behavioral therapies to help you reach recovery.
You’ll benefit from addressing the physical and psychological aspects of quitting substances at the same time. I like that they emphasize removing stigma and providing a welcoming environment to focus on your journey.

Another great feature I noticed was their integrated care approach. Along with therapy, you can access nursing services, case management and other recovery support assistance. They even offer specialized care for people living with HIV.
The Recovery Center is close to downtown San Antonio. San Pedro Creek Culture Park, Milam Park, and the San Antonio River Walk are all nearby.
