Recovery at the Crossroads in Blackwood, New Jersey, offers inpatient and outpatient services, with a focus on inpatient care. This is a subprogram built into Behavioral Crossroads Recovery.

Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Options
Treatment is offered for all substance types. Inpatient treatment uses gender-specific residences. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available for clients needing assistance with detox and cravings. Therapies include family, holistic, music, art and experiential.
Their partial hospitalization program (PHP) treats clients who have completed inpatient treatment, do not require residential treatment, or have experienced a relapse. The PHP lasts several hours per day.
Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for clients who require more structure than general outpatient treatment provides but have responsibilities and cannot attend the PHP or residential treatment. IOP therapies include cognitive behavioral, group and family. The IOP is offered in the mornings and evenings.
General outpatient treatment therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy, alcohol dialectical behavior therapy and substance use group therapy. Additional services include addiction counseling, holistic treatments and relapse prevention education.
Four-Phase Medication Assisted Treatment
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) commonly involves methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, Vivitrol or Suboxone. MAT commonly has four stages. Induction is establishment of medication, stabilization determines the minimum dose needed, maintenance is when the client is taking doses as prescribed, and lastly the medication is tapered until the client no longer needs it.

Therapies enjoyed by previous clients include meditation, yoga, martial arts, pet therapy and EMDR. Other clients were impressed with the music therapy, massage therapy, trauma therapy and a bio sound bed. The facility is known for small group sizes, providing transportation to and from the facility, community referrals for food and lodging and providing enjoyable entertainment.

Recovery at the Crossroads is Jewish owned and has incorporated Jewish aspects into the facility and treatments. The kitchen is reported to be stocked with kosher products, and a Rabbi is on staff.
