About Pyramid Healthcare Tradition House Halfway House for Women
Pyramid Healthcare Tradition House is a halfway house in Altoona, Pennsylvania. They're dedicated to helping adult women find lasting recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
Their proximity to prime areas for those in recovery is wonderful. You can enjoy the nearby Lakemont Park, Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark and more.
Pay Your Way
One thing I like about them is that they strive to make treatment as simple and affordable as possible. They believe that cost should never deter you from seeking the treatment you need. They’re willing to work with clients with limited financial resources.
They accept Medicaid, Aetna, Cigna, Magellan, Optum, United Healthcare and several other private insurance plans. They also take employee assistance programs and work with unions. Self payment with cash, credit cards or personal checks is available. You may also be able to pay for treatment with county or state funding.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Support
Another great feature I noticed was that they support MAT. While they don’t offer induction services, you can access maintenance and education if you’re interested in or have already started methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol or Brixadi. You can also access linkages to MAT aftercare resources if needed.
Holistic Care for Your Path to Sobriety
What stands out to me is their holistic approach. They provide individual and group therapy, recovery support meetings, relapse prevention education and more. You can also participate in nutrition and spirituality education, life skills training, and job training assistance.
You’ll benefit from volunteering and part time employment opportunities. They teach you vital recovery aspects, including finance management, coping skills, communication, goal setting and how to take advantage of community resources.
