About Laurel Ridge Treatment Center Mission Resiliency Programs
Laurel Ridge treats substance use and mental health conditions in San Antonio, Texas. The facility is on 29 acres, where guests can relax in privacy and focus on recovery without outside distractions.
Comfortable Campus Setting
Laurel Ridge doesn’t feel like a hospital. The facility is more like a college campus where clients are comfortable and treated with respect.
The team believes in helping the whole person recover, not only focusing on the addiction symptoms. They encourage positive growth physically, emotionally and spiritually for healing and lasting sobriety.
Guests aren’t always in treatment. The team believes in the importance of having downtime, which may include social activities, board games, music, exercise and disc golf games. They also encourage time in nature, allow phone time, television viewing and schedule visitations.
Program for Veterans
One of the features offered at Laurel Ridge is helping veterans and military members. The team understands that these clients face specific challenges when experiencing addiction, and they apply approaches that help them work through past traumas and events that led to substance use.
The staff emphasizes relapse prevention to provide the strategies and coping methods necessary for lasting sobriety following treatment. They understand that the first few months after leaving the program can be the most daunting and want to help make them easier.
Peer support is a vital part of the program and provides guidance from someone who has had similar challenges and understands recovery. Laurel Ridge is near the Natural Bridge Caverns and the San Antonio River Walk, where clients can experience walking, nature scenes and relaxation conducive to recovery.
