The Great Lakes Recovery Marquette Outpatient Center in Marquette, Michigan is a treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction. They’re CARF accredited, MARR and NARR certified, and are a division of United Way.
Outpatient Services for Clients with Substance Use Disorder
Outpatient treatment here begins with an assessment to determine the services each client needs. Detox or residential treatment can be referred to their residential program in Marquette. If you’re at a stage in your recovery where outpatient treatment is the right fit, here you can receive addiction counseling, referrals to community resources such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, court and DMV assessments, and specialized services for women and families.
They have group therapy sessions here throughout the week too. You can also receive peer recovery guidance, a free service that encourages clients in their sobriety. Meetings can occur in public or as a drop-in at the clinic.
Services for Veterans with Substance Use Disorder
The Marquette location provides specialized services for Veterans and works with the Veterans Administration to house Veterans who are homeless. A particular program works with Veterans suffering from substance use disorder and mental illness.

The treatment team may include a counselor, therapist, peer recovery coach, medical consultant, psychiatric addiction consultant, nurse care manager, and community health worker. The team lead will identify health, behavioral, and physical needs of the client to determine the best treatment plan.
After a therapy session a client may want to stop by the New York Deli Café for a sandwich or Java Bay where they serve breakfast all day. Picnic Rocks Park and Shiras Park along the Presque Isle Harbor of Lake Superior are located approximately a mile from the clinic.
