Counseling on the Campus of Penn State University
This counseling center is nestled on the Penn State University campus so they’re ideal for students who could use help with mental health or addiction. They are close to the State College Regional Airport. There are also several nearby parks and recreational facilities including the Tom Tudek Memorial Park, Fisherman’s Paradise and the Rothrock State Forest.
Drug and Alcohol Treatment for Adolescents and Adults
Drug and alcohol treatment is offered to both adolescents and adults in need of treatment. They offer counseling and therapy services to address your concurrent needs as they relate to your addiction and your past trauma that may have led to addiction. They will also work with you on repairing relationships through counseling.
I think it’s notable that while a lot of counseling centers will help with addiction as one of the issues you need treatment for, this counseling center has more dedicated services for substance use disorder. For example they have group counseling specifically for addiction and they also have a dedicated partial hospitalization program for addiction.
Treatment for Addictions Besides Drugs and Alcohol
I find it good to know that they also address other forms of addiction here, including problem gambling. I think it’s great to know that they have a certified gambling counselor on staff to work with you in addressing the many issues you may be facing if you are suffering from a gambling addiction, including stealing from loved ones, financial problems and possible issues with maintaining a career.
