About CODAC at Alvernon
CODAC at Speedway was formerly known as CODAC at Alvernon in Tucson, Arizona and is a CARF accredited behavioral health organization providing integrated addiction treatment and mental health care for adults ages 18 and older.
Their whole person approach combines addiction recovery with primary care, wellness, and real world support because healing happens best when every part of a client is cared for.
The program offers outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use and medication assisted treatment, psychiatry and peer support, and transitional living for co-occurring disorders.
Helping Women Recover and IOP
CODAC's intensive outpatient program provides at least nine hours of weekly care including therapy, group sessions, outreach, and care coordination.
The team uses evidence based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing using The Matrix Model with a Helping Women Recover program.
Sessions address trauma and PTSD, co-occurring mental health conditions, relapse prevention, and family dynamics. Clients can attend groups in person or by video conferencing and recovery coaches help with housing, transportation, employment, and other practical needs.
Programs for Mothers, Fentanyl, and Opioids
CODAC offers dedicated programming for pregnant, postpartum, and parenting women along with specialized fentanyl and opioid treatment using medications. Parents in IOP receive free on-site childcare, free parenting courses, and free diapers.
