About Central East Alcoholism and Drug Council
The Hour House, run by the Central East Alcoholism and Drug (CEAD) Council, is a therapeutic environment where they aim to provide safe and therapeutic care to get you through recovery. Located in northern Charleston, Illinois, this is one of many CEAD facilities where you can receive residential or outpatient treatment for addictions. They also host a detoxification program and maintain a sober living environment for those who have completed their residential treatment but need a safe place to stay during the transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment.
Helping You Plan Your First Steps
Hour House has the capability to help you from the very beginning of your recovery journey. Their intake and assessment process can be accessed simply for the purposes of finding a residential or outpatient program but can also take place alongside their detox services. After a free consultation, they can help you plan the next step of your recovery journey.
Residential Treatment for Men and Women
The Hour House philosophy is to provide a safe recovery environment and to be with you as you take your recovery one hour at a time. As a part of this mission, they provide gender specific treatment programs designed to deal with the unique challenges men and women face alongside or as a result of addiction.
Within these programs, you can expect individual therapy and an individualized care plan designed by your counsellor. Each program also entails group therapy sessions designed to help you heal from trauma by leaning on your peers.
Comprehensive Network of Recovery Services
Another excellent part of the CEAD organization’s programs is that they have sober living homes and halfway houses that can help extend the support you receive beyond the end of a residential treatment program. Their community based programs also make internship opportunities available for those looking for employment or experience during this transitory stage.
