About AIM Recovery Center – Closed
AIM Recovery Center in Dickinson, Texas, was designed for people who need solid addiction treatment but couldn’t step away from their jobs or their kids or their daily responsibilities. Instead of inpatient care, they focused on outpatient and intensive outpatient programs, which means you still got structure and accountability without living onsite. The schedule was flexible, and sessions were built around your needs.
Whether you needed individual counseling, group therapy or even educational classes, AIM Recovery realized that recovery was tough enough without having to lose your footing in the rest of your world. It helped that they were close to local attractions like Paul Hopkins Park and Dickinson Bayou so you could unwind between sessions.
Care That Feels Personal
AIM didn’t just hand out that same plan to everyone. They sat down and got to know you and what you were actually dealing with. And then after that, they built a plan for you. For some people, their care plans had relapse prevention and structure. For others, they built plans that taught you practical skills or got you support for underlying mental health struggles.
Previous clients have talked about how much lighter it feels to walk into a space where the staff weren’t judging you but are genuinely listening to you. That made it easier to be honest, which made half the battle of recovery a lot easier.
Healing with Connection
What was also different about time at AIM was how much they valued their community. The families who come here were encouraged to be part of the process of recovery. And there was a big emphasis on building support that lasted outside of their therapy walls.
They took insurance and if you were super worried about money, they worked with you to help figure out payment plan options so you didn’t have to worry about your finances becoming another obstacle.
