About A Turning Point Counseling and Rehab Center
Turning Point Counseling and Rehab Center is located on Cherry Ridge in San Antonio, Texas. It’s run by Dr. Ron Deage, who has over 25 years of experience. He offers behavioral health services to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorders through outpatient services. Deage also works with interns and can train up-and-coming clinicians.
Finding Your Way There
His clinic is located close to I-10 and I-410 in a largely residential area, close to restaurants, stores, churches and parks in the Dellvue neighborhood of San Antonio. They’re also close to Walker Ranch Park and Phi Hardberger Park for easy access to natural green spaces, walking trails and recreational activities.
The San Antonio location provides services to teens and adults seeking treatment and support for behavioral health needs. Deage focuses on providing recovery services for men and adults who are experiencing issues with addiction.
12 Steps and More
I like that their private facilities work with you on your rehabilitation needs through therapy, counseling and medication management. They provide treatment for alcohol addiction and opioid addiction among other chemical dependencies. The main focus is through 12 Steps and other group therapy with 3-6 peers. Groups are kept deliberately small so each client gets individual attention.
Therapy programs address relationship healing, grief and loss support as well as other past trauma-related issues that may have been needed to be addressed. There’s a special track for military veterans. Deage can address co-occurring PTSD and underlying anger and other emotions that can impact your recovery. Aftercare is provided free of charge on a weekly basis.
